At Blackthumbnail my approach to design is simplicity. A show I currently appreciate is Kitchen Nightmares with Chef Gordon Ramsey. The restaurants before and after transformation are amazing. There is one theme that Chef Ramsey utilizes to get a restaurant back on it's feet. Simplify. The menu is scaled back, the decor is brighter and much more inviting. Chef Ramsey focuses on srengths and keeps those in place. However, he fervently eliminates the weaknesses that stand in the way of success. Restaurants that have been revitalized by Chef Ramsey have seen substantial increase in sales and satisfied customers. My approach is similar. I focus on strengths already in place and simplify the approach to make your brand unique and appealing by understanding the needs of your target audience. Simplicitiy is not a new concept in design.
